Growing up as racing royalty, Thad Moffitt was born to race
The grandson of seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion “The King” Richard Petty, Thad is prepared to carry on the Petty legacy as the first full-time driver for the Faction46 NASCAR Truck Series Team.
This fourth-generation driver became serious about racing the first time he stepped into a go-kart. He made a name for himself as a champion in the Southeast Limited Late Model Series, he held his own in an ultra-competitive ARCA Series circuit, then spent the 2023 season fine-tuning his road course skills in the Trans-Am TA2 series.
Thad, always mindful of his family legacy, realizes now is the time to make his own history as Faction46’s first full-time driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
